The C3 AI marketing team is seeking an experienced communications manager to join our communications team. The team shapes how C3 AI speaks to the outside world and to its own employees, across media coverage, social channels, editorial content, event materials, and website copy. This role will report to the Corporate Communications Director. In this role, you will own social media, the internal company newsletter, the company blog, and content for the company's key announcements, working closely with the PR function.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a broad communications practice rather than specialize in one channel. The ideal candidate can move between a LinkedIn post, an internal newsletter, and a blog post without losing quality, has a good instinct for what makes a story newsworthy, understands enough about AI and enterprise technology to write about it with confidence, and is comfortable managing multiple channels and workstreams at once.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage C3 AI's corporate social media channels, from strategy through execution and reporting.
  • Write and produce the internal company newsletter, sourcing updates from teams across the business.
  • Write and edit blog posts, including technical and thought-leadership content, in partnership with subject-matter experts.
  • Support executive communications, including briefing documents, talking points, and by-lined content.
  • Support communications for company events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Own the editorial calendar across blog, social, and internal channels.
  • Repurpose each story across formats, so one announcement becomes a blog post, social posts, and a newsletter item.
  • Partner with the PR team to turn announcements and media coverage into blog, social, and newsletter content.
  • Spot story angles with earned-media potential and flag them to the PR team.
  • Identify story opportunities across the company and turn them into content across social, blog, or internal channels without waiting to be assigned.
  • Maintain a consistent voice and style across every channel.
  • Track and report on content and social performance, using data to refine strategy and improve engagement.
  • Partner with product marketing, the PR team, and executive communications to keep messaging aligned.
  • Take on additional communications projects as the role and the team grow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5–7 years of experience in communications, PR, journalism, or content, in-house or at an agency.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a portfolio that shows range across formats and channels.
  • Working knowledge of PR and earned media, and comfort writing in press style.
  • Genuine interest in AI, machine learning, and enterprise technology, with the ability to write about technical topics for a business audience.
  • A self-starter who identifies opportunities and follows through without heavy direction.
  • Experience with social media publishing and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple channels, workstreams, and deadlines at once.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior executives.
  • Familiarity with AI/machine learning, IoT, big data, or cloud technology a plus.
  • Proficient using AI tools in daily work.
  • Experience in a fast-paced technology company or technology-focused agency.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship.
