Director, Event Marketing – AI Accelerators

C3 AI is looking for a results-driven, hands-on marketing leader to run the C3 AI Accelerator Series day to day. The Accelerator is a one-day, hands-on masterclass in agentic AI where customers and prospects describe a business problem in plain language and build a working application on their own data with C3 Code, our enterprise agentic app builder. C3 AI will host Accelerators monthly in major cities worldwide and integrate them into Tier 1 industry events.

Working closely with marketing and sales leadership, you will drive the direct-marketing engine that fills every room with the right people and ensure flawless delivery in every market. Success requires proven direct-marketing results, rigorous execution across many cities at once, and the ability to tie every event to pipeline.

This role is based in Redwood City, CA and requires being in the office 5 days a week, with travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Accelerator strategy, global calendar, messaging, and creative in partnership with marketing leadership
  • Maintain and apply the Accelerator Playbook, including operating model, checklists, and decision rights, to ensure consistency as the program scales
  • Plan and run the direct-marketing campaigns behind every event: personalized outbound, email, account-based campaigns, and partner channels
  • Manage the registration funnel and data; drive qualified attendance, show rate, and cost per qualified attendee
  • Partner with sales on target accounts, seller activation, and direct outreach, and drive post-event follow-up that converts attendees into account conversations
  • Own the workback, market intake, and activation checklist for each city, including agency, venue, and vendor coordination
  • Ensure attendee, technical, and facilitator readiness for a working session where every participant builds
  • Run the scorecard and post-event debriefs, and report results, including pipeline influenced, to marketing leadership
  • Manage the event budget and lead a small team of event and campaign marketers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree (MBA or master's) preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience, including significant marketing experience
  • Proven success in direct marketing, with campaigns and conversion results you can demonstrate from invitation through attendance to pipeline
  • Experience running multi-city event programs at a consistently high standard
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and vendors; experience leading or mentoring a team
  • Data-driven approach to measurement and pipeline attribution
  • Strong communication skills and the presence to work with senior executives and customers
  • Willingness to travel extensively, domestically and internationally
  • Preferred: B2B enterprise software, AI, or developer-audience event experience; experience with large industry conferences; account-based marketing alongside enterprise sales

California Base Pay Range
$174,000—$225,000 USD
