Tom Siebel Appointed to Wall Street Journal CEO Council

C3 - Tom Siebel Appointed to Wall Street Journal CEO Council

The Wall Street Journal elected C3 CEO and Chairman Thomas M. Siebel as a member of its CEO Council.

The Wall Street Journal CEO Council is a prestigious network of 150 global influential business leaders that focuses on the economic and social issues shaping the future. Recent venues have addressed the rise of AI, the growing strength of China’s tech sector, cybersecurity risks, and how the increased regulatory focus on privacy is causing changes in how organizations can use data.

As C3 CEO, Siebel leads a team focused on solving large-scale problems that have never been effectively solved before, at organizations such as Royal Dutch Shell, 3M, and the US Air Force. Siebel adds the appointment to recent awards and distinctions, including the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year for technology, 2018 Glassdoor Top CEO, and Goldman Sachs’ Most Intriguing Entrepreneur.

The 2018 annual meeting of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council will be held in Washington DC on December 3-4. Topics include AI-driven automation and the need for evolving skill sets, cybersecurity, climate change, China’s economic growth, and global trade. Speakers include director general of the World Trade Organization Roberto Azevedo, Chinese ambassador Cui Tiankai, UK ambassador Kim Darroch, chairman and CEO of Aetna Mark Bertolini, Distinguished Professor of Law at the Hastings College of the Law Joan Williams, National Security Advisor John Bolton, and chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers Kevin Hassett.
