AI for Banking
Faiz Ahmad is a Managing Director and head of Global Transaction Services (GTS) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, a role he assumed in October 2017. GTS delivers solutions to the bank’s corporate, commercial, and business banking clients as well as financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, public sector entities, and family offices.
From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Ahmad was co-head of the Global Commodities Sales & Trading business and served on the board of Merrill Lynch Commodities, Inc. Since joining Merrill Lynch & Co. in 1996 in the Leveraged Finance group, Mr. Ahmad has held roles in Mergers & Acquisitions, Structured & Corporate Finance, and Principal Investments.
Mr. Ahmad holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BCom from McGill University.

He described Bank of America’s AI vision and its AI applications developed with the C3 AI Suite, including cash management; a single view of the client across equities, fixed income, commodities and currencies; stock loan optimization; and an application to predict customer behavior that enables corporate account managers to reduce customer churn.
