C3 CEO Tom Siebel was featured on today’s CNBC Squawk Alley in a segment called “Thomas Siebel: Healthcare Will Unquestionably Be Largest Market for AI,” hosted by renowned Silicon Valley pundit Jon Fortt with co-anchors Carl Quintanilla and Courtney Reagan, live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Siebel explained the surge of CEO-led digital transformations and the economic benefit of rapidly adopting disruptive new technologies – big data, predictive analytics, AI, and IoT – at industrial scale.
Siebel described AI’s tremendous momentum in the government and healthcare sectors, specifically.
- The U.S. Air Force is using AI for aircraft predictive maintenance to dramatically improve military readiness without increasing budgets.
- Decisions to adopt AI are increasingly being made by top leaders. For example, Siebel said the U.S. Secretary of State and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are engaged in AI adoption across the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Siebel predicted that healthcare will be the largest market for AI and IoT. Precision healthcare applications such as disease prediction and AI-assisted medicine hold enormous social and economic benefit.
C3 is growing rapidly in response to surging demand for AI, predictive analytics, and IoT applications that enable digital transformation. C3 will double its workforce this year and again in again, said Siebel. The need for skilled and trained data scientists and engineers is a strategic priority for all organizations at the leading edge of digital transformation, said Siebel.
